What is the age group for this product?

Hi.  On the box we wrote this set is for "Ages 4 - 104".  We've noticed that children as young as 2 or 3 might enjoy stacking the planks or lining them up in a row, but it isn't until ages 4 or 5 when most children start building with them.  The great thing about these wooden planks is that even older children and adults enjoy building with them also.  Ages 4-6 often build flat shapes or simple buildings.  Ages 7-12 start building some of the more complex structures in our building ideas booklet.  We also have some very enthusiastic teenage builders as part of our "Brain Blox Nation" STEM Clubs.  :)  I hope that helps!

What is the size of the planks?

Hi.  Each wooden plank measures 8mm x 24mm x 120mm.  After a great deal of experimentation and playtime with both young and older children, this is the size that we found works best and is enjoyed by every age group.  It's amazing what can be built with blocks that are these dimensions.  I hope that helps!

Hi.  The dimensions of each wooden plank are 8mm x 24mm x 120mm.  We've found that these are the ideal dimensions for encouraging creativity and allowing for a wide variety of structures and other creative designs.

Would the 100 piece set be a good size set  for a Montessori classroom of 3 to 6 year olds?

I have purchased the 200 piece set for both my grandchildren and the Lego Build Club at our local Library.  That seems to work well with 3 to 5 individuals working  individually at a time. Of course they do get really creative and do some really big builds working together.
