.... is what I thought when weighing up whether to buy the air fryer with the Andrew James Halogen that I also purchased. I had read up, with some people suggesting it being ok with the 'extender ring' being fitted (how different is this to just using the top rack without the ring????). There were however, some reviews whereas people had persevered and had cooked successfully with the air fryer fitted on the top of the bowl directly underneath the halogen element. I decided to take the plunge and purchase. Thank goodness that I did!!!! With common sense it cooks wonderfully. The secret is to make sure that the air holes are open (they can be set in either the open or closed position). It then cooks chips, roast potatoes, parsnips, nuggets perfectly. I purchased the Andrew James Premium Halogen with the hinged lid and so am unable to fit the extender ring AND the air fryer, but why would I want to.... Excellent product and so easy to use AND clean.....

Makes the greatest air fried chips ever. Well made and easy to clean. I cook my chips (home made or frozen) in my microwave for about 4 minutes and then place them on the air fryer in the Halogen oven, 10mins at 200 and you have the greatest, most delicious fluffy, crisped chips imaginable! I just wish that they made one for the smaller 7 ltre oven as my friends all have that size and would love to be able to enjoy these amazing chips.

I purchased this cooker because my built in double oven gave up the ghost and I was looking for a quick fix before purchasing another double oven. Before using the cooker I watched several videos on you tube on how to cook with it. An eye opener! So far I have cooked chicken breasts with jacket potatoes, oven chips (frozen oven chips) on the air fryer, a frozen fish pie ready meal, and a home made beef casserole with dumplings (took 2.5 hrs). All but the jacket potatoes turned out as good as if they were cooked in a conventional oven. I did have to cover the ready meal with a metal lid as the potato topping started to dry and brown too quickly. With the lid covering it browned nicely and remained moist. I used the same temperatures as stated in the recipes, and the time to cook was only slightly shorter. I will have to experiment more with jacket potatoes. I pre-heated the cooker just as I would a conventional oven. The air fryer works well. So far I am happy with the cooker. There are a few things that annoy me: 1. The attachments (shelves, pans, tongs etc) and the air fryer are cheap and flimsy. The instruction manual recommends putting food directly onto or into these attachments and using the tongs to remove the foods and pans. I would not now put food directly on the shelves as they rust easily after a few washes. I use my own oven pans and dishes that are small enough to fit in the cooker. 2. Although the hinged lid is okay, and does stay open, the arm is made of heavyweight plastic. I would have preferred a metal arm for sturdiness. 3. The tongs to remove food is only useful for lightweight stuff that they can grip easily. I use oven gloves for the dishes. 4. Putting things into/taking things out of the cooker with oven gloves is awkward. This is why tongs are supplied, but they are mostly useless. 5. I will have search to try and find proper heavyweight tongs that can lift a Pyrex casserole dish!

Like the halogen oven and the air fryer attachment but VERY disappointed there was no recipe book with it . The resipes in the instruction leaflet were not helpful

So pleased I bought this ! Have used it nearly every day. It comes with a useful small book with timings and temperature guides for everyday things such as sausages, meat etc and a lot of recipes, tho not the kind of things you would cook every day. Addressing the issues that some people have had with the hinged lid - the lid is NOT floppy , when you open it, it does stay up quite firmly, I think it would be quite hard to knock it down by accident. It is also quite easy to raise the lid when you want to use the extender. I have cooked a chicken, baked cakes, cooked sausages, frozen fish in batter and a chicken pie - all turned out well ! I would reccomend buying 'the everyday halogen cookbook ' by Sarah Flower alongside your oven and reading it thoroughly before use - a really useful book, full of great tips and good recipes.Please note this is a review for the Andrew James Halogen Cooker, I put it in the wrong place, haven't used the fryer attachment yet !

I love it, chips are great, things cook alot quicker

Perfect just what I needed.this is a up date since I've received it . Working well plenty of attachments for all uses . I also ordered the frier which is sold separately that's great too.

Purchased this at same time as the Halogen Oven, and to be honest I have only used it once for chips, just to try it out. The chips turned out very well and obviously a lot healthier way to eat chips as so little oil used. I dont really feel I can give this a review to its credit, as havent only used it once, but for that little extra cost when purchased with the halogen oven, its worth while to have as many of the accessories as you can so you can try them all out. For anyone who eats lots of chip/wedges type of meals then am sure it will be a godsend, but we dont really eat many chips, but I have the equipment should I ever need to make any for the grandkids :)

Parfait. Hier nous avons mangé des ailes de poulet croustillantes et moelleuses et à midi des frites non grasses et savoureuses.

Ganz ehrlich, ich war skeptisch als ich diesen Air fryer bestellt habe. Als ich ihn ausgepackt habe auch, ich dachte die Pommes oder das Fleisch würden verbrennen, weil mir der der Abstand vom Deckel zu dem Gitter sehr gering vor kam. Aber ich muss sagen zu Unrecht. Ich bin total begeistert. Die Pommes wurden 1A und die Chicken Flügel auch. Ich denke alles andere wird dann auch super funktionieren.

Es kommen super leckere Pommes aus Kartoffeln raus... Ist schnell zu spülen und ist gut verarbeitet.

très pratique et facile à utiliser je recommande de le prendre avec le four à condition bien sur que l'adaptateur pour les prises française soit fourni.
