Size up! But these are AMAZING!
So I am someone who absolutely hates wearing pads, but I found myself in a situation where I was not able to use my other go-to method so I decided to give these period Underwear a try- these are terrific! I will say, normally I'm a size medium in tops and bottoms, but I found the mediums to be a little uncomfortably snug especially around the leg openings, I had to stretch out the elastic quite a bit to get it to work for me- if you have thicker thighs you'll probably have this issue as well. I did get these in a larger size however and I'm so glad that I did! The material that they use for this that is super soft and comfortable, you will not want to wear any tight pants with these though because the butt part of the pad is a little noticeable. These definitely do a great job of keeping you leak free, I believe this kind can hold up to three tampons worth, I normally have a lighter. Due to my birth control so I was able to go throughout the day like normal without having to swap out. The whole time it kept me feeling completely dry and Mess free, I did not notice any odors or anything! Especially love the fact that it doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing a darn diaper in my pants, to me there's no worse feeling in the world haha. I've also gotten these for my kiddo as well, I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone, from a girl first starting out to an adult!

Update at the end - Might want to size up for bloating. Far superior to Thinx (imo)
So i normally fit comfortably in a size 9 for Hanes, with my added bloating i wish i would of sized up just because i can feel the waist band dig a tiny bit, but other than that, they seem to be the exact same pattern to thier normal undies, just have the added padding. I love the stitching on the padding as well, it seems to blend the padding with the regualar undies a lot better than the thinx pair i own. The thinx pair has a bulkier sem and stick out, which makes them noticable while wearing. Where the Hanes ones, i can't even tell that they have the extra padding or stitching while on. They feel like i'm just wearing a regular pair. These moderate pair will be perfect for my light to moderate flow, wouldn't reccomend them for heavy flow, but if you can find a heavy flow Hanes pair, they're so much better than the thinx, in my opinion. The thinx pair just feels like a diaper or a really big bulky pad but with these Hanes ones, i can't even tell there's extra padding when on and they move with my body better than thinx. The thinx pair is the same size, roughly as i normally buy and all the sems on those, digs real bad and irritates my skin, but with the Hanes, i've only notice a slight dig with the waist but that's just my bloating. The added bonus for me is the fact that i got 3 Hanes to 1 pair of thinx, and i feel that the Hanes are a higher quailty. I would much rather invest in the hanes pairs then thinx. I do think these would be good for incontinence, i personally don't have that, but i feel these would make good coverage for that as well and would be more comfortable to wear has an extra coverage then most. I also feel that these would be easy to hide rolled up in a bag to carry as a just in case, as i can fold or roll these up to be a similar size as a normal pair even despite the extra padding. It doesn't seem to effect that aspect, just makes it a slight bit thicker, which i feel is expected. Could not reccomed these enough! I will defintely be buying more and keeping an extra pair in my work bag and purse. UPDATE: Now that i've had these a few cycles... they are the first pair i reach for when i get even slight spotting. Incredibly comfortable. Not a regret with buying these. Perfect all day wear. BUT. For sleeping, i have noticed that while i sleep, i tend to leak with these. Right on the seam both front and back. No the padding isn't full. Fresh pair on before bed, only spots are on the seams of the padding, mainly the back seam. So i've got some pads, ones that reach pretty much the whole seam, i put a stick on pad right on that seam so the long edge lines up with the seam. Catches any ooopsies and still super comfy to wear while i sleep. No pads sticky to my delilcate parts when i move and shift as i sleep but just added protection with a pad on the back seam. I feel if the back seam was maybe an inch higher, it'd be a bit better for night sleeping but honestly i am not mad. These panties are the best ones i've found for all day wear and an extra pad for night time coverage is no deal breaker for me! I'd still reccommend 100% and will be buying more of these as i needed. Still my favorite pair of panties

Lighter protection but better than nothing
TL;DR version: The ones I received seem to offer only light protection and aren't too thick or unsightly, but you feel the seam across the rear where the panel ends in the back. Good for only minor bladder leaks. Good as a backup to your usual period care product or maybe alone for light slow flow. The outer layer is not waterproof if there is more than a little liquid. They fit well and are otherwise very comfortable. They are much less expensive than many other brands, but I don't know how they otherwise compare to them. Long review because these are the only ones of this kind of product I've ever tried, so no other experience. The boyshorts style aren't made like shorts in the legs but do offer more coverage and sit slightly below the navel. Sized like the regular Hanes panty sizes. I'm not returning them but I doubt I'll bother wearing them for the reasons below. These have a little stretch to them and would be very comfortable, except for the seam across the rear where the absorbent panel ends in back. It's not exactly uncomfortable but I am aware it's there, as several other reviews have mentioned. I wish the panel was a couple of inches shorter in back because I don't need protection there, but others might especially at night. In front the panel is only a little higher than regular panties. These aren't overly thick and don't feel or look like a diaper. Not sure yet if the back panel edge would show through some pants because of where it ends. Now to their absorbency. I don't need much absorbency but have only an occasional very minor bladder leak, mostly only a few drops sometimes just before I reach the bathroom or if I sneeze with a full bladder, leaving damp panties which I don't like. These would work fine for that or maybe a little more, but not much more. They would probably work for light period days and would be a good backup with your usual period product, especially at night as the panel comes up higher in the back. I wouldn't trust them alone for gushes or even moderate flow, but I am past all that so I can't test that. I did a little unscientific test before I washed these. On one pair I spread 1 measuring tablespoon of warm water, which doesn't sound like much but actually seemed like a large amount when I was pouring it. I poured it across several inches of the main part of the crotch. It absorbed the water fine, but the top layer felt wet and so did the outside layer although it didn't actually drip. It felt wet enough that I think it could transfer to clothing. This was the black pair so it was hard to see how much water leaked through. On the tan pair I used 2 measuring teaspoons of water and it did better, but it leaked through at both sides of the crotch. On the gray pair I used 1 teaspoon which did fine. The top layer hardly felt damp and the outside layer stayed dry, but one teaspoon isn't a lot. Therefore I think it may be a stretch to call these moderate protection, but results with period flow might be different from plain water. For bladder issues these would seem to only work for very minor leaks, better than the paper-thin panty liners and about like the slightly thicker panty liners, but less protection than a regular size period pad because the bottom layer isn't waterproof like a pad. Definitely better than a regular panty by itself, though. They came through a machine wash and dry on low temperature just fine. The ones I received seem to be sewn well. Also, good for Hanes for including the instruction to rinse them in cold water until the water runs clear immediately after use and before washing them. Maybe that's in the mice type of other brands? I wouldn't want that much blood from any source or more than a few drops of urine in with my other clothes unless it had been rinsed out first. I deducted one star because of the way the seam across the rear feels and because the outside layer of the absorbent panel doesn't seem waterproof enough. I wish that seam was lower in the back but it may be an advantage for others. I don't know how other brands compare. A choice of lighter colors would be nice. These are much less expensive than most other brands so they are a good value if they offer enough protection for your needs.

Comfortable. Does the job. Correct fit.

A mi me llegaron bien. Ya los había probado y siento que aon buenos, lo único que me gustaría cambiarles sería que tuvieran mayor zona de absorción (tanto para adelante como para atras)

Firstly, it wasn't indicated clear enough in a listing title that these were period underwear (one have that in a detail description though). Secondly, beware, it's an American sizing! I bought 8 for my daughter and they turned out to be XL!

For those who have a heavier flow or want something as a 'just in case,' these are inexpensive and breathable. It's great for postpartum as well! Easy to wash out and dry.
