Yes a USB C cable. It should power from the PC. Download the manual from Steinberg's site.

Q: I'm using genelec 8220s currently plugged into the headphone socket with a minijack to xlr cable will this bypass the mac's own dac for better sound?

The headphone output is really designed for quite high impedence studio reference headphones, typically 250 ohm or more. You should connect studio monitors to the monitor outputs at the back of the UR22C device. Ensure your connection cable uses a balanced TRS connection (6.3mm) to avoid line noise. The UR22C performs all A-D and D-A conversion. Think of it like a very high-fidelity external sound card. Any audio hardware on your Mac will be bypassed. That's practically the whole point of an audio interface.

Q: Does it come with a power supply adaptor for use as an alternative to the usb-c power input?

In short - NO. The Steinberg UR22C comes with a USC 3C to USD 3C connecting cable - this connects the UR22C to the computer (laptop / desktop) and is the cable also allows the laptop / computer to be the source of power for the UR22C. If you need a separate power supply you will need to buy one separately. Personally, I thing there is no need for a separate power supply. If you are worried about drain on your laptop - just power the laptop - connect your laptop power supply to the laptop.

Q: I have a 2nd gen scarlett 2i4, dire drivers that play up on my windows 10 desktop. are the drivers on this good and sound as good as a Focusrite?

I used to have a Focusrite Solo for my voiceover booth and after a few months threw it in the bin as it kept on intermittently cutting out. (I have Win 10) The Steinberg is rock solid to me anyway.
