BBox E10D Dual 10" Sealed Carpeted Subwoofer Enclosure, Black

I bridged a Taramps TS 400x4 AMP to power 2 400 WATT, Skar 10 inch 2 ohm, duel voice coil subwoofers wired in parallel making them 4 ohms. My front/rear Sony coaxial speakers are wired through 2 separate Taramps TL-1500's for 95x4. The subwoofers are in THIS sealed enclosure, not ported. That is my preference. I have always liked the cone response from subs in a sealed enclosure, but to each his own. The enclosure is heavy, it's constructed of MDF. The fabric is adhered perfectly to the box with ZERO flaws. I had forgotten what it was like to have a nice car stereo. The 3 amps are very small but don't let that deceive you. In the cabin of my 96 Subaru Impreza outback, this setup will knock your socks off. Unbelievable.

If you are looking for a small sealed enclosure that will house the deep frame 12" subs this box is for you. the front mounting panel on the box is made of 1" MDF which needed for some of the newest subs that weigh 30+ lbs. The speaker wire terminals are a little cheap but for $39.00 go to radio shack and add the bigger push terminals and you still have a great box cheaper than anyone else. I was not looking for boomy bass just to fill the sound platform in my car. I installed two of the Pioneer dual 2 ohm subs wired 1 ohm each using two precision power amps. they are rated rms 1000w at 1 ohn and do an amazing job all tied together. Kick drums sound like kick drums and bass guitar is amazing when you do want to turn it up. And the best part if you have Amazon Prime it ships for free and mine arrived in two days!

While I bought this sub box for a project I had in mind, it never came to fruition, so I ended up selling it to a local Eco-Town vendor. It arrived in perfect, new condition. I could still smell the fresh glue used to adhere the fabric to the MDF which was 3/4” in thickness IIRC. Minus one star because of the spring loaded speaker wire connectors. A 5 Way Binding Terminal would’ve been a better choice, but this could be easily changed by the user. Over all though, the build & construction quality appeared to be top notch. Regretfully I abandoned the project and sold the Sony Subwoofers that were given to me by a friend which ignited my idea for the project. I had soldered in some decent 12g wiring to the terminals and had the fiber material and hardware all ready to go before skipping the project. I had planned on using it as an indoor, dual stereo sub for my 2ch. bedroom rig which consisted of a 2ch. Harmon Kardon HK3480 and a pair of Polk Audio TS2 Blackstone Speaker which sounded pretty darn good for the size of these little gems. I still have them and use a vintage Pioneer powered sub. Beast of a receiver and this rig sings when I just wanna kick it in my bedroom to listen to music or watch a movie on a small 23” Vizio TV. I used a Yamaha S1800 Universal DVD/CD/SACD player as the main source. But I digress, this speaker box is pretty good for the money and pretty sure I could’ve dialed it in for some decent thump using a small amp to drive the woofers. I’m all into making my own cabling and doing mad scientist projects like this. Hey! It’s a hobby and it’s all about having fun and enjoying.

This is a solid prefab. It doesn’t leak. It’s well built, probably CNC’ed. It’s about 1 cubic foot per side. The carpet is nice and thick and doesn’t seem like it’ll come off. The terminals are ok to above average (compared to other cheap prefabs). At around $100 it’s a good purchase. Works well with some $47 Infinity Primus 12s.

I bought this box on a limb not knowing the brand or the build quality. It was a great price and saw that it used a 1" baffle. I have a set of 10" Infinity Reference subs (which I bought here at a great price!) that just weren't living up to their full potential in a ported box. I'm powering them with a Soundstream Reference 1.500 500 watt amp (which I bought here also!). And I have to say, not only is it a well built & sturdy box, it really made my subs come to life! All the seams are fully sealed with caulking and carpeting is well placed. Now my subs are hitting hard with lower notes I wasn't getting before. The only problem I have with them is the terminals. I personally prefer binding post terminal which promote more current. Other than that, great box for the price!

I was a little nervous after reading the review about the box blowing apart right away, I have two Skar ix-12 on a bridged punch 550.2 at 2 ohms I'm guessing the actual wattage around 1500 or so and they hit really hard. When I opened the box up I noticed it was put together pretty well and finished nicely with no noticeable defects in quality. The MDF is thinner on the back and sides while the face is really stout, seems close to an inch thick. I've been abusing this box with excessive bass for a few weeks and its not given out on me. Time will tell but it seems adequate, and will likely continue to do it's job competently. 1/15/2021 Update: I now have two sundown 12" subs in this box with the same setup, these hit like a horse kick to the head and the box is holding strong.

The carpet was in great shape and the box is built rugged with 3/4 MSD . I put 2 kicker comp 12s in the box gave it lots insulation the speakers have good deep bass . My only complaint is the wire connections are cheap i switched them out with better ones.

I would like to start off by saying if you need a small sealed box to fit in a tight area and dont want to build your own then you may enjoy this box. I read a lot of reviews about this and thought I'd try it. The carpet lining is very thin and will rip and tear in no time and even came with a small rip on the bottom. The material used is not the sane quality as I used too when I had my own car audio business several years ago and I used to build custom subwoofer boxes for people. The sealant they used wasn't evenly spread or bear the seams that needed it. I had to seal the box properly myself to insure it was air tight. I then had to add extra braces to the inside to ensure it wouldn't flex as much because the rest of the box isn't 1 inch thick mdf like the front speaker mounting board. After reinforcing the box the inside cubic feet became smaller so I had to add about a pound of poly fill to each side to compensate for the loss. Once completed and installed it does seem to sound good. Taking into consideration of what all I had to do to make the box durable I would have been better off to have built my own but then again I am very picky when it comes to building boxes as so many things come into factor that can ruin the sound of a system. If your looking for a throw in box with just the intentions of ennoying the missing sound of a subwoofer then you can't beat the price. If your looking for a box that can hold up to competitions or hard core thumping I'd suggest looking at another box. Right now after using for a few months pushing two 12 inch subs at just over 700 watts total around 350 rms per subwoofer from my precision power amp it it still holding up after bracing and resealing it properly. Use you own judgement on how you intend to use the box to determine if it will suit your needs.

Very well built, looks good, you can't beat the price, i haven't installed subs yet, im sure it will handle a couple of 10" subs no problem Update... This subwoofer cabinet with two 10" subs sounds amazing. I lined the inside with insulation and wow! Super deep base, crisp and clear. Sub box is built very well. Good stuff, great price, amazing sound!!!
